Ekklesia School Of Local Church General Admission Requirements

Ekklesia: School of Local Church is open to men and women who want to deepen their knowledge of God's Word, and also those sense a call to the fulltime pastoral ministry in the local church.

Laity Path Candidates

Intending students on the laity path are expected to have been genuinely born again, filled with the Holy Spirit, and have a consistent Christian life for at least one year.

In addition, they are required to have the following minimum academic qualifications:

  • Five credits passed including English Language in the West African Examinations Council General Certificate of Education [GCE] or the West African Examinations Council Senior School Certificate of Education [SSCE] or the NECO Certificate.

Clergy Path Candidates

Intending students on the laity path are expected to have been genuinely born again, filled with the Holy Spirit and have a consistent Christian life for at least three years.

In addition, they are required to have the following minimum academic qualifications:

  • Five credits passed including English language in the West African Examinations Council General Certificate of Education [GCE] or the West African Examinations Council Senior School Certificate of Education [SSCE] or the NECO Certificate.
  • OND, HND or Bachelor’s Degree in any course of study from a recognized, reputable higher institution.

Instruction for clergy students at Ekklesia is mainly computer-based. Therefore, the knowledge of the computer with all the basic Microsoft applications, and good typing skills is an advantage for all applicants.

Keeping in mind that Ekklesia is not just an academic exercise, any waiver to these qualifications may be considered at the discretion of the Admission Board.
